World Cup 2015: Special prayers, 'yagnas' held for Team India

Special prayers and 'yagnas' are being held across the country for the Indian cricket team as they face Australia in the World Cup semi-final on Thursday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Supporters held 'yagnas' for the team's win in Ranchi and Chennai while special prayers were also held for the same at the Wagheshwari temple in Mumbai. Cricketer Mohammad Shami's family also offered prayers for the team's win today. Cricket fans across the country wished the best for Indian team. Australia chose to bat against India first, after winning the toss. After seven straight wins, Team India is starting to resemble the team that won the sport's greatest spectacle four years ago. The winners of today's match will go on to face the other co-hosts New Zealand next Sunday in another of the great arenas of the game, Melbourne Cricket Ground.
