Violent clash breaks out between NCP MLA's supporters and police in Solapur

A violent clash broke out between NCP MLA Ramesh Kadam's supporters and police in Solapur district of Maharashtra on Saturday after the MLA announced it in public that he is going to the police station to get himself arrested. Police had issued summons to Kadam over allegations of breaking the guard shade placed at National Highway and had asked him to present at the police station. However, Kadam announced that he would go to the police station to get arrested. After the announcement, MLA's supporters gathered in huge numbers and tried to enter the premises of the police station. Following which, a violent clash broke between the MLA's supporters and police. The supporters even pelted stones at the police personnel. The police resorted to lathi charge to disperse the crowd.
