Shashank Manohar takes charge as BCCI president, says will 'restore faith of fans in cricket' (Part- 2)

Shashank Manohar on Sunday officially took charge as BCCI president for a second term in the special general meeting in Mumbai. He was earlier the board's chief between 2008 and 2011. Manohar said that he will work to restore the reputation of the board and also the faith of the fans in cricket. The newly appointed BCCI president also announced several measures he plans to undertake during the initial days in office. The post was vacant after the demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya last month and on the eve of the election it was clear of him taking charge because his name was only nominated for the post. Manohar emerged as a consensus candidate among East Zone units whose turn it is to nominate a president till 2017.
