NATO's Stoltenberg Says Russia Is 'Attacking Syrian Civilians'

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on October 6 that Russian action in Syria was of “great concern,” and called on Russia to “avoid escalating tensions” with NATO following an incursion into Turkish airspace. Stoltenberg was speaking before a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels. “I’m also concerned that Russia is not targeting ISIL,” he said, “but instead attacking the Syrian opposition and civilians.” Credit: YouTube/NATO
