Maoists trigger blast in Bokaro injuring three jawans

Maoists splintered a vehicle of India's paramilitary, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), with high intensity landmine blast in red corridor area of Bokaro district of Jharkhand injuring three security personnel and one civilian. Following the attack on CRPF vehicle, a fierce gunbattle continued for hours between the security force and red rebels. The injured security personnel were airlifted by a special helicopter of Indian Air Force. A CRPF officer Budhan Urav said it was a sudden attack so they were caught unaware. The injured people were shifted to a hospital in Ranchi. It was the second attack on the biggest voting day of general elections by Maoists.
