Man shot dead by militants in Sopore

A 54-year-old man was shot dead by militants on Wednesday in Sopore town of Jammu and Kashmir, where a BSNL mobile tower was installed. The man was killed in Dooru village a day after suspected militants attacked a BSNL franchise outlet in Sopore in north Kashmir. The police said that the man had a mobile tower in his compound and that he had been warned by the gunmen to shut down a week ago. Ghulam Hassan Dar was shot inside his living room at around 9.30 pm while he was watching a cricket match. The deceased's family meanwhile grieved on the loss.
