Jethmalani gave proposal on Dawood's surrender but it was conditional: Sharad Pawar

NCP President and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sharad Pawar on Saturday claimed that although senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani had given a proposition regarding the surrender of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim but it was 'conditional'. Pawar said that Jethmalani had asked that Dawood Ibrahim should not be arrested but is allowed to stay at a residence. He further maintained that it was not possible for the government to accept this condition in the case of such a terrorist. Jethmalani has claimed that Dawood Ibrahim and his close associate, Chhota Shakeel, had offered to surrender to Indian authorities in the 90s, but Pawar had rejected the offer.
