J and K health minister assures better healthcare facilities for Amarnath pilgrims

Health and Medical Education Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Chowdhary Lal Singh, visited hospitals to check if special arrangements have been made for better medicare for devotees of annual Amarnath Yatra. He assured better healthcare facilities to all the pilgrims of the yatra. Singh took stock of the medical facilities in and around Jammu city. He appealed all the visiting pilgrims to complete medical formalities before commencing their journey, given the number of deaths that take place every year because of poor physical fitness. Medical camps have been set up in many districts in Jammu, the entry point and along the pilgrim route. The pilgrimage to the holy Amarnath cave shrine will begin in July this year.
