India's economy grows 7.3 % in 2014-15

The Indian economy grew by 7.3 per cent during 2014-15 from the 4.7 per cent increase in the previous fiscal, government data showed on Friday. March quarter gross domestic product or GDP data shows that India is the fastest-growing major economy in the world. Manufacturing sector output, a big focus area for Prime Minister Narendra Modi , jumped sharply in the March quarter. However, agricultural output declined between January and March. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that it is now clear the economy is in a recovery mode.
