BSE closes points 550.93 down on July 27

Trading at the Bombay stock exchange today closed 550.93 points down to stand at 27,561.38 At the national stock exchange the nifty closed 160.55 points down to stand at 8,361.00. TATA ELXSI LTD. and SUN TV NETWORK LTD. were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 5.10 % and 4.61 % along with ATUL LTD and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS LTD with an increase of 4.15% and 4.02 % respectively, while the top losers of group A include KAILASH AUTO FINANCE LTD .and JAIPRAKASH POWER VENTURES LIMITED. with a decrease of 9.86% and 7.41% along with Jaypee Infratech Ltd. and INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK. with a decrease of 7.19% and 6.05% at the close of the markets. The auto sector is down 363.16 points at 18,590.32 while the banking sector is down 487.06 points at 20,887.08 and the realty sector is down 28.91 points at 1,323.33. The Indian currency is up 0.16% at Rs 64.14 per dollar.
