Brazil to take on Spain in Confederations Cup final

Brazil and Spain are gearing up for a showdown on Sunday in football’s Confederations Cup final. They haven’t faced in other in over 27 years. Back then, in 1986, Brazil won, one-nil. Brazil also has the confidence that comes with having not lost a home match since 1975. But Spain has been having a run of good luck itself, remaining unbeaten in 29 competitive games, and determined to make another win on Sunday. “I think you can’t be scared of anything and just have to play,” says Brazilian forward Neymar. “Spain’s a great team and we’re going to be facing the best in the world. They have the best players in the world. But we have good players here on the Brazilian team.” Spain’s star player Fernando Torres is their biggest weapon, but Brazil’s Neymar and Fred have so far proved themselves formidable players. And both countries are keen to cement their place as worthy contenders for next year’s World Cup.
