Army distributes free textbooks to flood-affected children in Kashmir

Indian army distributed free textbooks to children, hit hard by last year's devastating floods, in Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative is part of 'Operation Sadbhavana' of Indian army under which it has been helping people in the areas of education, health care, community development, among others. More than 200 sets of books of class IX and X were distributed among the children at a function in state's summer capital Srinagar. Students also thanked the army for its noble gesture.
