There's clearly something miraculous about this Liverpool fan

A fan dressed as Jesus has made the headlines for his influence on Liverpool.

Liverpool fan dressed as Jesus.

It's rare that a fan grabs all the attention from an in-form team, but that's exactly what has happened in the case of this man.

Dressed as Jesus, he has miraculously managed to turn defeats to victories - and in the process, Liverpool's once ailing season around.

Yes, this fella has inspired quite a turnaround for Brendan Rodgers's men since turning up at Liverpool's game with Arsenal in December.

At that stage, the draw with Arsenal four days before Christmas Day left Liverpool in an inauspicious position down in 10th, a full nine points off the top four.

Rodgers was getting increasing criticism for his tactics and it seemed that everything was going wrong.

That was until the man dressed as Jesus inspired an undefeated run of 10 Premier League games in which Liverpool have won seven and drawn three.

Fans have certainly bought into his influence, and the supporter has become a hero.

The Reds face Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday and will be hoping the fan's divine intervention continues as they eye a spot in the top four - something which seemed improbable back at Christmas.

Liverpool are now just two points off the Champions League spots and can certainly thank their Christmas miracle for the upturn in form.

Okay, so the return to form of Raheem Sterling, a change of formation and the resurgence of Philippe Coutinho have all helped, but surely all of those factors pale in comparison to the significance of Christ's presence.
