Taylor Swift Takes Us Behind-The-Scenes Of Her ‘Out Of The Woods’ Video

Taylor Swift has given fans another treat by showing them exactly how her ‘Out Of The Woods’ video came to be.

The video was filmed in New Zealand, and saw Swifty film in a swimming pool, in a forest, on the ‘most beautiful beach’ she’s ever seen and in a dress dipped in wax as she goes on a mission to ‘find herself’.

She was even tasked with filming on stilts for one of the forest scenes.

Explaining more about the metaphor behind the video, director Joseph Khan said: “The entire video is basically Taylor suffering through an emotional landscape of trees and forests and snow and water, and all that is metaphor, but it’s being done practically on location here in New Zealand.”

Ooo, we love it.

Later in the video, Taylor faces the prospect of filming in some super appealing mud - and, unsurprisingly, she wasn’t not exactly jumping up and down with excitement.

She said: “I’m not excited for it. It’s going to be terrible. It’s going to be gloppy, and cold and slimey, and I’m going to be crawling in it. I have to meet a friend later, there’s going to be a lot to explain. ‘Why do you look like this?’.”

It may not have all been totally glam, but it was definitely worth it, because the finished product is stunning.
