Syrian state TV says soldiers freed from besieged hospital

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Syrian soldiers holed up at a hospital besieged by insurgents in northwestern Syria were freed in a military operation on Friday, state TV reported. "The heroes of the Jisr al-Shughour hospital are out of the hospital," a headline bar flashed on state TV said. It said the forces defending the hospital had carried out a "tactical maneuver" and had "successfully broken the siege". (Writing by Tom Perry)
