Suspected Boko Haram Islamists have killed more than 100 people in the village of Izghe in Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, a senator representing the area said on Sunday.

"So far, from information I have received from Izghe, 106 people, including an old woman, have been killed by the attackers, suspected to be Boko Haram gunmen," Ali Ndume told AFP.
