Spice Girl’s Mel C, Missy Elliott and Egyptian star Tamer Hosni will lead performers at the Yasalam concerts on the Abu Dhabi corniche in November, UAE daily newspaper Gulf News reported.
The series of performances will coincide with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concerts, which are only accessible to fans who obtain race tickets.
Elliot, Hosni and Mel C will play on November 1, and fans can watch them perform live for free.
US rapper Eminem, rock band Nickleback and Kylie Minogue will be singing at the Grand Prix weekend concerts at Yas Island over the following three days.
“The city-wide program will include events in public locations, live events, exhibitions and entertainment starting with the Yasalam Responsibly Road Safety campaign and ending with Eminem’s after-race concert on November 4,” Mike Fairburn, Director of Marketing and Planning at Flash Entertainment, which organises the event, was quoted as saying by Gulf News.
