Bridge On The River Kwai by lorylillo Galad Chokh dī kaa ;-)
Kanchanaburi, Thailand. Leaving the Floating Market one get the River Kwai. Of the original bridge still remain only the outer spans, made with chopped wood and carried by 60 thousand prisoners of war: Australians, British, Dutch and Americans, plus 200 thousand Asians forced to work here. Here is the death railway, dug with their bare hands in the rock, in the middle of the Thai jungle: 415 miles of line that the Japanese had built in the 1942 to join the Thailand to Burma (Myanmar).
