Mark Zuckerberg uses Mandarin to wish world a happy Lunar New Year

Most who have followed the career of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg have seen his impressive Mandarin Chinese language skills on display. But he so rarely trots those skills out that it's a treat to see the tech leader — who began studying the language back in 2010 — use his ability in public. 

This time around, Zuckerberg, along with his wife, Priscilla Chan, and their baby daughter, Max, marked the start of the

Subtitled in English, the video message begins, "Priscilla and I are very excited to celebrate our first Lunar New Year with Max." 

Priscilla also adds her own thoughts to the family message, in Chinese, saying, "We hope on this holiday, you are also spending it with your family and friends."

We're also treated to a moment of levity from Zuckerberg toward the end of the video when he humorously asks his baby daughter, "You think my Chinese is bad?"

It's heartwarming to see the family share such a special moment with the world, but it's also incredibly interesting to watch as Zuckerberg continues to mature into a truly international businessperson.
