Jail time for watchman who exposed his manhood to maids next door

A security guard has been sentenced to a month in jail for exposing himself to women who worked in the building next door.

Dubai Court of Misdemeanours heard the 32-year-old Bangladeshi defendant was working in a villa in Al Qusais. Prosecutors said he went to an open window on the second floor and took off his clothes before waving his manhood at his neighbour’s housemaids, who were watching him and laughing.

According to official records, the maids called police in March to report a naked man exposing himself to them. A police patrol rushed to the area, where cops saw the Bangladeshi defendant totally naked.

“We saw him from the window, and asked him to put his clothes on. He came down and apologised, claiming that the housemaids encouraged him to expose himself,” a policeman said in official records.

During the investigation, the defendant confessed to the offence.“I stood in front of the open window and took off my clothes. The maids were watching me and laughing. I made a mistake and I only did it once,” the defendant said during the investigation.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty in front of the judge and denied the charge of exposing himself in public. Dubai Court of Misdemeanours sentenced him to one month in jail, to be followed by deportation.

An appeal plea has yet to be registered against the verdict from the prosecution or the defendant.
