The Al Ain midfielder proved his class yet again on Tuesday when his late goal inspired UAE to victory over Timor-Leste in the opening World Cup 2018 qualifying game in Malaysia.

With ten minutes remaining in a dour contest, Omar unleashed a powerful effort from 25-yards-out to earn Mahdi Ali’s men all three points.

Due to the extent of this goal which gets UAE’s qualifying campaign off to a flying start, Omar is our Sport360 Hero of the Week.
