Mayweather Jnr taunts rival Pacquiao with knockout tweets
Floyd Mayweather Jnr was in mischievous mood over the festive period as he taunted long-time rival Manny Pacquiao with a number of tweets.
Mayweather poked fun at Pacquiao with series of pictures accompanied by humorous captions after appearing to take exception to recent comments made by his adversary.
In an interview with the Manila Bulletin newspaper, Pacquiao again fanned the flames of a potential bout between the two men by saying May 3, 2014, would "the perfect date" for them to finally meet.

However, Mayweather's camp are in talks about a fight with Britain's Amir Khan on that date meaning a superfight between 'Money' and the 'Pacman' is unlikely. For now.
In the tweet, Mayweather again alludes to the fact he offered Pacquiao $40million to fight last year only for the Filipino icon to demand a 50/50 purse split which effectively ended negotiations.
Talk of a fight between the two men - boxing's pound-for-pound kings - has rumbled on for the past two years, with an agreement seemingly still a long way off.

Mayweather's tweets come just days after he insisted a fight with Pacquiao would "never happen" because of the his rival's promoter, Bob Arum, who he has accused of being greedy in the past.
Meanwhile, in another tweet Mayweather also poked fan at his potential next opponent Amir Khan and hinted that a deal is not as close as first thought.

Khan had claimed recently that a deal was "not too far away" before adding: "Hopefully something is going to be announced within the next couple of weeks."
