Sharjah pilot takes stunning photos from plane cockpit

It's a view from above - literally.

Pilot and budding photographer Karim Nafatni snapped these stunning photographs of the view from a plane's cockpit or what he calls his "office".

The 31-year-old French-Tunisian, who works for Sharjah’s Air Arabia, used a Nikon D300s DSLR to capture the phenomenal images. Using a 10mm fish-eye lens, he took multiple shots and blended them together to create the cockpit images.

So what inspired him to take the photos?

"The amazing view must have been my first source of inspiration. I really wanted to share all of this with those who don't have the chance to visit flight decks during their trips," the air captain told Yahoo! Maktoob.

The self-confessed photography enthusiast picked up the hobby as a child but has been pursuing it seriously for the last three years.

"I really loved photography since a very young age but never got into it seriously until I bought my first DSLR camera,  a Nikon D3100.That's when I started getting deeper into the art," Nafatni says.

The majority of photos are taken aboard an Airbus A320 and display the stunning landscapes across the UAE and beyond.

"Photography to me is a reflection of the soul's eyes - one single picture can sometimes hold thousands of emotions," he said.
