A Titanic-themed restaurant in Dubai?

Ever dreamt of eating on the Titanic? Well, you might soon have the chance in Dubai.

Damac Properties, the luxury developer behind the upcoming Paramount Towers project, is proposing a Titanic-themed restaurant as one of the main attractions, UAE daily 7Days reported.

The restaurant would be shaped as the ill-fated cruise liner and would feature memorabilia from the 1997 movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

“It is a proposal but nothing has been finalised yet,” Damac property consultant Rahul Anand told 7Days. “It is up to the people at Paramount how they want to present the brand. We see it as looking like a ship sinking. It could be sloped like the building is sinking, something like that,” he continued.

The apartment complex in Downtown Dubai will be based on Paramount Studios and, according to Anand, walking into it will be like taking a trip to Hollywood.

“The apartments will also be designed by Paramount, so it will be the complete movie experience,” he said.

The project is expected to finish by the end of 2015.

According to the report, Paramount Studios did not invest any money in the project, but only sold the use of its name and movies for promotional purposes.
