England v Scotland legends returns to Dubai for fourth edition

England v Scotland

England v Scotland legends is back. Yes, the oldest rivalry in international football returns to Dubai this weekend as a collection of former stars renew hostilities at Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa.

A raft of familiar faces will dust off their boots on Friday as the 'auld enemies' clash for the fourth time in Dubai, with Scotland still search for their first win.

12 months ago, England inflicted a third successive win over their arch rivals with former Manchester United ace Teddy Sheringham stealing the headlies, scoring a hat-trick in a 6-3 win.

While Sheringham is missing this time around, the Three Lions still boast an impressive squad featuring the likes of ex-Leeds United midfielder Lee Bowyer and Lee Hendrie, who made his name at Aston Villa.

Scotland, meanwhile, will feature Colin Hendry, a key member of the Blackburn Rovers side that clinched the English Premier League title in 1995, and ex-Rangers keeper Andy Goram.

Can the Tartan Army finally end their Dubai hoodoo?

The Legends Game kicks off at the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence on Friday (3pm), with entry free to the public.

There will also be special dinner this coming Thursday night giving you the chance to mingle with your heroes.

Tickets for the event are priced at Dh600 per head which includes a three-course meal and all beverages from 7.30-11pm.
