Ahly drawn with Morocco's Difaa in African Confederation Cup

Egypt's Ahly will take on Morocco's Difaa Hassani Jadida in the second phase of round 16 of the African Confederation Cup, announced the draw held in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo Tuesday.

Ahly, the winners of the past two African Champions League editions, joined the Confederation Cup after being eliminated Saturday from the current Champions League losing 3-2 at home to Libya's Ahly Benghazi with a 4-2 aggregate defeat.

Ahly will be Egypt's sole representative in the Confederation Cup after Sunday's elimination of Ismaily and Wadi Degla following their respective losses to Petro Atletico of Angola and the Malian side Djoliba.

The first leg will be played on 18, 19 or 20 April in Cairo, while the return leg will be held in Morroco on 25,26 or 27 of the same month.

The winner in the two legs will qualify directly for the tournament's group stage.

Second phase of round of 16 contains the eight teams eliminated from the Champions league besides the other eight proceeded in the Confederation Cup original round of 16.
