Salah, 23, is at the centre of a transfer storm after last week refusing to return to Fiorentina for a second season on loan, as per the terms of the agreement La Viola made with Chelsea in January.

The Egypt international was arguably Fiorentina’s stand out player of the second half of the 2015-16 campaign following his switch from Stamford Bridge, where he had struggled for game time under Jose Mourinho.

But Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas shocked Fiorentina fans and officials last week, telling reporters that his client would “not to stay with Fiorentina.”

Inter Milan, AC Milan and Roma have quickly emerged as the favourites to sign Salah but a source close to the player has told Sport360 that it is a loan move to the Giallorossi that most interests the Egypt star.

Salah favours Roma due to the prospect of playing Champions League football and has been keen to insist that money will not play a role in his transfer decisions.

The source added: "His agent is in contact with Roma and Inter Milan - both clubs are ready to meet Chelsea's terms and help settle any dispute with Fiorentina,"

The former FC Basel man also fully intends to return to Chelsea after the 2016-17 season and fight for his place in Mourinho’s side.
