Zayn Malik Tweets Support For One Direction’s New Single And Gives Us ALL The Feels

Zayn Javadd Malik, what on earth are you playing at? You should know better than to send a tweet that will give ALL of your followers a bad case of the feels late on a Saturday night.

We mean, we probs would have ended up crying over it at any time of the day, but peak party time was probably the most vulnerable time of all.

In case you missed it, and your heart isn’t currently smushed into tiny pieces, the 22-year-old mega-babe tweeted his support for One Direction’s newest, awesome, single ‘Drag Me Down’ - AND HE EVEN CALLED THEM ‘ MY BOYS’.

*Melts*

Taking to his Twitter account, Zayn wrote: “Proud of my boys the new single is sick. Big love. :) x”, and all we have to say to that is we’re not crying - you are.

Welp.

Since quitting the most famous band on the planet back in March, Zayn’s public interaction with his former bandmates has been limited and, erm, rather mixed, to say the least.

At his first public appearance at the British Asian Awards in April, the singer was sure to thank Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles as he accepted his award, much to the fandom’s delight.

However, not long after that he found himself embroiled in a very public Twitter spat which saw him defend his then bezzie mate, Naughty Boy, against sassmeister Lou, tweeting his former BFF: “remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine ?”

Me.Ow.

Louis was incredibly gracious and didn’t actually reply, but needless to say the fans were fuming.

Anyways, since ditching NB and signing his own solo record contract, Zayn appears to be in high spirits yet again, and although the boys are yet to respond to his message of support, we have no doubt that we don’t have too long to wait until they do.

One Direction gave all of us mini heart-attacks on Friday morning when they dropped the debut single of their upcoming fifth studio album without any word of warning, performing it live at their On The Road Again show less than 24 hours later.

The amazing single hit number one in almost every country within hours, and has left all of us pretty ruddy excited to hear the complete album from ‘our boys’.

Although a part of us worries that we might not be emotionally strong enough to handle it…
