Who do you think had the greatest impact in 2011? For good or for bad, who were the people that shaped the world this year?
In the Yahoo! Maktoob News 2011 Newsmakers Poll we want you to vote for the personalities of the year.
We’ve compiled a shortlist made up of some names you the readers have selected. Others on the list have been chosen based on the amount of news coverage they received and interest shown in stories about them.
The shortlist is made of 10 people they include Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs; Indian social activist and hunger striker, Anna Hazare; and the leader of Libya’s NTC Mustafa Abdel Jalil.
Remember this is a poll where you decide who had the most impact on the world, that’s why we’ve included people like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
And then there are those who you might think are just good role models such as Indian actor Aishwarya Rai.
There are no right or wrong answers in this poll – you can vote for whichever of these people you want. The choice is yours.
