Yahoo! and Qatar’s telecom regulator, the Supreme Council of Information & Communication Technology of Qatar (ictQATAR), have partnered to develop digital media and online content in Qatar.
Yahoo! will work closely with local entrepreneurs and start-ups to grow digital content and stimulate entrepreneurship in Qatar in line with the country's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) 2015 strategy.
Rich Riley, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Yahoo! Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: “We are very excited to be entering into this strategic partnership with ictQATAR.

Ali Al-Khulaifi, the ICT Market Development Manager for ictQATAR, said: “IctQATAR is committed to developing a vibrant digital content ecosystem in Qatar, with a specific focus on quality Arabic content.

Yahoo! Maktoob will be official online partner at ictQATAR's QITCOM, which runs from March 5-7.
