X Factor 2015: Bosses Deny Claims That They ‘Approached’ 4th Power For Audition

The X Factor was rocked by ‘fix’ claims just one episode in to the newest series of the show when it was reported that Filipino girl group 4th Power had been approached by show bosses and requested to audition.

Well, it wouldn’t be the onset of Autumn if there wasn’t at least one X Factor related dramz, would it?

Viewers were left outraged when it came out that the girls had celebrated huge success in the Far East and had previously won shows similar to The X Factor, catching the eye of producers.

However, ITV have now vehemently denied the accusations, with an X Factor spokesperson saying in a statement: “X Factor producers did not approach Fourth Power to audition - they flew to the UK to audition of their own accord and went through exactly the same audition process as other acts.

“Their interview in the programme clearly said that they had been performing together since 2001and had competed in various places.

“There are no rules preventing anyone who has appeared on other shows from applying for The X Factor.“

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, haterz.

The group, made up of four sisters, shocked the audience and judges when they burst into a pitch-perfect performance of Jessie J’s ‘Bang Bang’, winning a standing ovation (and four ‘big fat yeses’) from Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora, and Nick Grimshaw.

A pesky source then came forward to blab to The Mirror that 4th Power had already had secret meetings with producers before they auditioned, claiming: “Producers were well aware who the girls were before they arrived in front of the judges - so it was no surprise that they were fantastic on the show.

“Executives looked at everything they had done before and discussed them at length before making the decision to invite them back and make them a big part of the launch show.

“Obviously they were exactly what had been expected.”

Hmm, looks like this particular insider might want to check their facts before they run off to the papers next time….
