Woman loses 85lbs on a Starbucks-only diet

Starbucks © Rex66-year-old Christine Hall from Virginia, USA, has managed to shed six stone in two years by sticking to a Starbucks-only diet.

The pensioner visits her local coffee shop three times a day and never strays from her set-menu of oatmeal, sandwiches and salad boxes.

After struggling to control her weight, Christine discovered that Starbucks includes nutrition labels on all its food, detailing the calories, fat and protein in each item.

By meticulously tracking her calorie intake, Christine cut her food consumption down to just 1,000 calories per day – less than half the recommended daily allowance.

Luckily, Christine managed to avoid the allure of fat-filled cakes, fruit juices and croissants in favour of Starbucks’ healthier options.

Christine’s daily diet includes....

-One tall black Americano (15cal)

- Oatmeal (140cal)

- Bistro salad box (360cal)

- Tomato and mozzarella panini (390)

She may be drastically reducing her calories, but Christine is also drastically reducing her bank balance too. Her average intake of food costs roughly $16 (£9.80) per day – that means she’s spent $11,000 (£6,700) at the coffee chain in the past two years!

She may look and feel better but Christine is eliminating whole foods from her diet, including lots of fresh fruit and veg. Some dieticians have argued that she is likely to be severely deficient in vitamins and minerals essential for good health.
