All Dubai government employees will receive their August salary before Eid Al Fitr, following an order from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Director General of Dubai Finance Department Abdul Rahman Al Saleh said that payrolls will be transferred to the banks by Monday next week (Aug 13), enabling the employees to receive their salaries earlier, so that they can meet the needs of their families for Eid.
Rulers in Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain have also ordered the payment of salaries for government employees before Eid Al Fitr.
Eid Al Fitr is the celebration that marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. This year, Eid holidays in the UAE are likely to start on August 18th or 19th.
