UAE bans Pepsi and Coke cans

Photo: ThinkstockDUBAI: The UAE announced yesterday that it has begun the process of removing cans of Coca-Cola and Pepsi from shops.

The 300ml cans are being pulled from shelves due to violation of consumer protection regulations.

The process will take around a month to complete, the consumer protection department of the Ministry of Economy said.

The cans are breaking regulations by being sold without putting the price or Arabic translation of the ingredients on the cans.

They are banned from all shops, restaurants and hotels.

Representatives from the Ministry said that strict penalties would be handed to anyone found still selling the cans.

It's also to be banned that some medical shops selling fake medicines. Some peoples in deira standing in the road side & pulling innocent people to their herbal medical shops telling that it's good medicine for Diabetics, good for skin disease , it will improve your hair grwth it ill give good energy & improve your body etc., & charging the people with high rates. especially in the deira Dubai. UAE Government has to arrange CID's to catch those culprits.

This Info is not correct because all U.A.E market is 330 Ml cans , so what is the meaning of removing 300 Ml cans , I think they need to sell and focus on 500 ML pet while Cans is more safe than PET bottle .
