VIDEO: Italian cyclist's incredible Burj Khalifa world record revisited

Vittorio Brumotti set a remarkable world record when he climbed Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower, on his specially designed bike back in October 2012.

Holder of seven Guinness World Records, the Italian covered about 3,700 steps and 160 floors to reach the top at 828 metres in two hours and 20 minutes, without ever resting his foot on the ground.

We look back on Brumotti's incredible record, which still remains intact today, after gaining exclusive access to the footage above.

Dubai has been synonymous with world records and amazing achievements over the years - none more so than the biggest fireworks display in history with close to 500,000 lighting up the Emirates' skies on New Year's Eve.

The magnificent Burj Al Arab has also witnessed it's far share of memorable moments with some of the biggest names in sport regularly taking part in high-profile stunts atop the the world's only seven-star hotel.

Aside from being home to the world's tallest building, Dubai also boasts the tallest 'twisted' building on the planet.

Dubai isn't finished there though with plans recently unveiled to bring European architecture - and weather - to The World Islands.
