Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola 'setting the example' in Dubai

Juventus boss Antonio Conte has paid Pep Guardiola the ultimate compliment by insisting the Spaniard is the benchmark for all other coaches to aspire to.

Speaking at the Dubai International Sports Conference, Conte expressed his admiration for the work Guardiola has done with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard has enjoyed a stunning start to life in his management career, guiding Barcelona to 14 major trophies in just four years in the Camp Nou hotseat.

After a year away from the game, the 42-year-old is now in charge of Bayern Munich, who are top of the  Bundesliga after an unbeaten start to the season and have reached the Champions League last 16.

Aside from his success, Guardiola has also won universal praise for his footballing philosophy which places a great emphasis on ball retention and fluid movement.

Guardiola joined both Conte and Russia coach Fabio Capello on stage at the Dubai conference, and made an admission about his own path into management:
