Sharjah residents are being urged to conserve water ahead of a six-day disruption next week, Khaleej Times reported.
The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) announced the the water supply in Sharjah will be disrupted starting November 28 due to maintenance work.
The maintenance, which will affect four water desalination units at Alliah water desalination plants, is aimed at improving the current water supply, the report said.
Residents are urged to store enough water and optimise their use of water during the maintenance period.
“We apologise deeply for the inconvenience and we request cooperation with SEWA,” a SEWA official was quoted as saying.
