Russia's Putin condemns "horrible crimes" in Libya

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday "horrible crimes" were being committed in Libyan cities that supported late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Putin, speaking to religious leaders in Moscow, made his comments while defending Russia's decision to veto a United Nations Security Council resolution on Syria.

Europeans and Americans loath strong Russian leadership as the main impediment to plundering the wealth of third world countries.

If you are voting against UN security council to save/protect the life of Syrians civilians then their blood is in your hands.

Not a crime - it's stated in the charter of the UN...It is the way of the world at the end of WWII...They sacrificed greatly under the Nazi's ~20M dead - 3x the current population of Libya. They helped defeat the Nazis and "liberate" Europe...they deserved a deat at the table as a superpower to bring balance. It won't change so it, like the US and China as members, has to be dealt with diplomatically.

Didn't the Soviets arrest and jail citizens of Czechoslovakia military who escaped under the Nazis and fought with the British and Soviets against the Nazi's......They need to apologize for that before they speak of this treatment in other countries...both are bad.

How can you be killing the people you rule, shooting them with heavy guns, killing of children and women is a taboo, remember that you have your own children, your sisters and wife as women too, these that kill by sword shall go by sword.

i sometimes wonder what happen to the arab up rising? non of them change anything in their countries, i think the only successful one was the one in tunisia. killing gaddafi was the greatest mistake the libyains ever made. the ones in power today in libya are only puppets of the west, they controle nothing and are even killing more [people then gaddafi did, they dont even have power over the socall freedom fighters. their job is to sit in their offices and follow insturctions from uk/france/ and the usa and dont forget those western countries are stealing enough of libya oil and gaz while the libyains are still killing each other, look at what is happinning in prisons arround libya today. are gaddafi followers not libyains too? you cannot cry for change and be more distructive then the one you call dictator.

wht crimes are commited in Libya compared to the thousands of syrians killed each day by a regime suported by moscow ? the only way Russia can help is to supply enough amunitions to kill all the citizens of your country !!
