Russia supports changes in Syria which can help create a national consensus on implementing reforms in the country, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.
"We support changes which work towards national agreement on all questions of overdue reform," Lavrov said ahead of a weekend meeting in Geneva on a plan by UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan on a political transition in Syria.
