Ronda Rousey joins forces with The Rock at WrestleMania 31

Wrestlemania 31 made plenty of headlines on Sunday night, but none bigger than the guest appearance of UFC poster girl Ronda Rousey.

In front of 76,976 fans - a record for San Francisco's Levi Stadium - Rousey, the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, was on hand to help out The Rock during a heated argument against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Spotted sitting at ringside earlier in the night, Rousey hopped the barrier to join The Rock to a huge ovation after he had been slapped by McMahon, daughter of WWE's CEO Vince and wife of Triple H.

And Rousey wasted little time in making her presence felt, telling McMahon: "You need to understand something, Steph. Any ring I step into is mine. If you want me to leave, why don't you make me?"

The Rock then began fighting with Triple H, leaving him stumbling as he approached Rousey, who delivered a hip toss.

McMahon then tried to slap Rousey, only for Rousey to turn the tables, put McMahon in a standing arm bar and chuck her out of the ring.

Rousey's appearance certainly went down well with WWE aficionados many of whom are hoping to see more of Rousey in WWE in the future.

UFC chief Dana White will surely be loath to lose one of the sport's star performers, although Rousey's agent, Brad Slater, told MMAFighting.com that he was aware of her Wrestlemania appearance.

"I've told you many times how I work with Dana [White]," Slater said. "I always, always call him and make sure he is OK with anything we ever do in movies, television and otherwise."

As for WrestleMania 32. Could we see Rousey back in the ring alongside The Rock for a tag team match? Don't bet agaist it.
