Real Madrid will play AC Milan at Dubai Sevens Stadium

Football fans in Dubai will have the chance to see some of the biggest names in world football when Real Madrid play AC Milan in a friendly at the Dubai Sevens Stadium on December 30.

Global superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Fernando Torres will all be on hand to showcase their talent in what is the biggest single fixture to take place in the UAE.

The announcement was made this this morning by two legends of the game in Franco Baresi and Emilio Butragueno.

The two most successful sides in European football will also be training in Dubai during their visit in December.

Up to 40,000 fans are expected to witness the match, with tickets, which start from Dhs200, now on sale at Virgin Megastore and Time Out outlets.

Speaking at today’s announcement, Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president, Commercial Operations, Centre, said: “Emirates is pleased to be working with DTCM to bring two of our major sports sponsorship partners, and two of the biggest football clubs in the world, to our home city for the Dubai Football Challenge.

“By working with clubs, teams and events around the world we are able to connect fans with their passions; whether football, rugby or horse racing and we are now able to do this for our customers here in the UAE in December.

“We are sure fans will be thrilled by the display of footballing skills and for the opportunity to see some of the world’s best players here in Dubai.”
