Rap superstar Eminem is to perform on the closing night of this year’s Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand prix, rounding off a weekend that will also see Kylie Minogue and rockers Nickelback play.
The closing concert will take place at the Du Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, November 4, on the evening of the race.
The Yasalam after-race concerts are an annual feature held exclusively for F1 ticket holders and have previously included performances by Aerosmith, Britney Spears and Paul McCartney.
Eminem is one of the most popular artists in the world, selling more than 90 million albums worldwide and being recognised as the best-selling artist of the 2000’s.
His last album, Recovery, was the best-selling album of 2010 and became his tenth album to reach Number 1 on the Billboard charts.
The concerts form part of the bigger Yasalam programme, which features a series of concerts throughout Abu Dhabi.
It is a big day for UAE music, as the announcement of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend concerts comes soon after teen sensation Justin Bieber announced plans to perform in Dubai in 2013.
