Qatar Airways ranked world's best airline for second consecutive year

Sydney, July 13 (ANI): For the second year in a row, Qatar Airways has been ranked as the world's best airlines at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

According to The Age, Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted congratulated Qatar Airways on the airline's second consecutive win, pointing out that the carrier had rapidly climbed the rankings from its number eight spot six years ago.

According to the list, Qantas fell out of the World Airline Awards' top 10 for the first time, dropping to number 15 from number eight last year, but it received three top rankings: for best first class lounge (at Sydney Airport), best premium economy class and best premium economy class catering.

According to Skytrax, the world's top 20 airlines are as follows:
