Topless Ukrainian activists grab Euro 2012 cup

Topless FEMEN activists have been media darlings due to their methods of protest. According to FEMEN, topless protests are probably the strongest and most effective form of peaceful and nonviolent protests to attract attention. A group of Ukrainian topless protesters are now facing jail term up to four years for climbing onto the balcony of the Indian embassy in Kiev and tearing down India's national flag. The activists staged a second attack on the Euro 2012 soccer trophy on Monday, grabbing it while it was on public display in the southeast of Ukraine before being seized themselves by police.

It united a small number of young female students from nearby universities who were disappointed with the social, political and economic situation of women in Ukraine.
