Man slashes woman’s throat in Dubai

DUBAI: An Asian man claiming a European woman stole his money, broke into her house and slit her throat before going to the mosque for prayers. The 29-year-old man identified as AKB was arrested later and sentenced to death in Dubai.

AKB told police that he decided to kill the woman because she stole Dhs 6,000 from him. He also claimed she had sex with him for money.

The police nabbed the killer after finding the knife at the scene of the crime and tracking him through CCTV footage from a shop where he purchased it.

The prosecutor said: “He slit her throat three times… he stole two mobile phones and Dhs 200 from the victim and fled… he showed no remorse as he just headed for a mosque and prayed.”
