Lebanese singer wants politicians to follow Dubai’s ruler

Popular Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama has called on his country’s politicians to adopt and learn from Dubai's ruler and UAE's Vice President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, when it comes to building a successful nation.

“Thou Lebanese genius rulers! Go and learn governing and development and success in Dubai, where there is a man called Sheikh Mohamed.  If only you can learn from him how nations are built,” Alama wrote on his twitter account.

Alama, who turned 50 last month, has often voiced his fascination with Dubai and its infrastructure either on Twitter or through Lebanese and Middle Eastern media.

The Arab Idol judge often chooses the emirate as a venue for launching his new albums and shooting his music videos, including his latest video hit “Wana Wayak” or “While I’m with you”.

Alama earlier announced that he would be willing to enter the political sphere once he feels that the Lebanese people would support and agree with his political ideas.
