The final match of the second annual in-house tournament of Jeddah Sports Club Soccer Training Academy takes place at Dunk playground behind IKEA showroom on the Sitteen Street today at 9 p.m. when JSC-SEDCO XI lock horns with JSC-EFS XI.
B.W. Park, managing director of United Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd. – LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, will be the chief guest, said JSC chairman Kannur Abdul Rafeeque.
Several distinguished guests of local and Indian diaspora are expected to grace the occasion and witness the young budding stars fight it out to become JSC champions of the year.
Rafeeque said JSC was the first club in Saudi Arabia to start a soccer training academy for Indian expatriate boys aged 8 to 16 years.
The tournament began in the second week of November with EFS XI beating TAMER XI 2-0 in the opener. P.K. Abdul Ghafour of Arab News inaugurated the event and commended the club for helping Indian children not only to master the game but also to develop their overall personality.
