However, she revealed she didn’t feel comfortable enough to show off her curves in an advert for the diet brand.
Speaking on Katie, the new daytime chat show of presenter Katie Couric broadcast in America yesterday, the new face of Weight Watchers debuted her slimmer figure.
Having constantly been under scrutiny for her notorious yo-yo dieting, Jessica admitted she felt a lot of pressure to lose her baby weight after the birth of her daughter Maxwell in May.
Simpson revealed she is now only 10lbs away from her target weight, having gained more than 170lbs when she was pregnant.
Wearing a tight fitting peplum black dress for her TV appearance, she arrived with fiancé Eric Johnson.
Speaking on the show, she explained: ‘During pregnancy, I didn't really think about it. I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water and whenever my water broke my whole entire stomach would go down but that did not happen.’
‘All the weight did not come out with the baby!’, she added.
She also used the show as a chance show her new Weight Watchers advert (for which she was reportedly paid a whopping $4 million).
The advert was filmed back in July, when Simpson admitted she wasn’t ready to show her figure, so the shots focus on her face and lips.
In it, she says: 'I'm Jessica Simpson and yes I'm doing Weight Watchers.’
'There is a lot of pressure to lose weight but I'm not a supermodel. I'm just Jessica trying to eat real food in the real world and I really just wanna be healthy for my daughter.’
