Indians are biggest real estate buyers in UAE

Indians are by far the most prominent property inquisitors across the UAE, a survey recently held by propertyfinder.ae reveals.

Among the top nationalities shown at the survey, Pakistani and Russian buyers came in joint second place, while Iranian investors are close third followed by Brits and Saudis.

Native Emirati buyers only came in seventh spot among the highest nationalities investing in UAE real estate.

The survey’s findings were obtained via the portal’s database of 3000 property registered brokers.

According to Renan Bourdeau, managing director of propertyfinder.ae, it is interesting to see which countries have cash to invest in property in the Middle East as the global economy recovers from a tumultuous period.

“This survey has thrown up some intriguing data and I think that this league table of the nationalities who are currently the most prominent buyers in the UAE will be valuable information to real estate industry professionals and residents alike,” Bourdeau believes.

A recent survey carried out by Dubai Land Department earlier in June revealed that property sales in Dubai soared 54 percent as value rose 32 percent in the first quarter of 2012 compared to the same period last year.
