Grizzly Bear’s Edward Droste In Twitter Takedown: “Taylor Swift Is Terribly Calculated And Mean.”

Pop princess, Taylor Swift, is not having a good month. She’s come under fire recently following a war of words with Nicki Minaj when she misunderstood her comments to be “pitting women against women” and later apologized for her mistake.

Next, she has taken what appears to be a major swipe at Katy Perry whilst performing “Bad Blood”, which is rumoured to be about the fellow artist, by giving a cameo role to a shark that looks remarkably like Katy’s Superbowl ‘Left Shark’, seems a bit fishy to us.

Now it seems that Tayor has made another enemy and so the drama ensues with Edward Droste, lead member of indie-rock group Grizzly Bear, who has branded T.S. as “calculated and mean”. Taylor’s probably hiring a bear for her next gig as we speak…

Earlier this year, Droste described a celebrity, who he wished to remain anonymous, writing that the person’s behaviour “exceeded all expectations of rudeness and arrogance. HATE.” Strong words.

Swiftly after publishing the tweets, he deleted them but the damage had been done. His followers speculated that the tweets were about the country-turned-pop star and he pleaded with them to not reveal this to her, appearing genuinely frightened by the consequences.

“If you know please don’t @ the person, they see all and have the capacity and desire to destroy,” he wrote.

“This is an eternal blind item, because I’m too petrified of their insane power. No need to speculate, just HAD to voice my disgust.”

It’s uncertain whether Taylor was aware of the barrage of tweets aimed indirectly at her but if she was, she did an excellent job of shaking them off.

The lead singers hate campaign continued when he retweeted a particularly nasty message, which read: “I want to just put out there that I’ve always known Taylor Swift was [as] immensely evil as she is powerful.” Oops. That’s not quite as subtle.

On Sunday, he tweeted a picture of a tabloid article titled “Mean Girl Taylor’s Friendship Rules!” which serves as just another example of Tay’s current on-going bad publicity.

Will this recent rivalry prove to be inspiration for Miss Swift’s “Bad Blood” sequel?
